Redox continues to build, acquiring Filtra

Our portfolio company Redox AS has acquired Filtra AS, a specialist in filtration solutions for clean air, water and liquid, serving aquaculture, maritime and land-based industry. It is Redox's second acquisition of 2026, following Trykkluftservice in January.

Redox has agreed to acquire 100 percent of the shares in Filtra AS, a supplier of products and solutions for the purification of air, water and other liquids. Financial terms were not disclosed; Filtra reported revenues of around NOK 37 million in 2025.

Within the maritime and aquaculture sectors, Filtra delivers solutions for particle removal and for neutralising bacteria and other microorganisms — including UV disinfection of intake water for land-based farms and purification of drinking water on board vessels. That fits closely alongside Redox's own oxygen and water treatment solutions, which improve fish welfare and biosecurity while reducing the use of chemicals.

"Filtra is a unique centre of expertise within filtration solutions, with extensive experience in the treatment of air, water and liquid," says Asbjørn Skaro, Managing Director of Redox. Bringing Filtra into the group allows Redox to offer fish farmers, the maritime sector and other industries a more complete range of products and services.

Filtra will continue as a separate company, keeping its head office in Skodje in Møre og Romsdal and building on its current organisation of nine employees. Founder Osvald Ringstad, who established the company in 2006, remains until September 2026 before moving into a consulting role. "After 20 years in Filtra, it is with both sadness and pride that I prepare the company for its next chapter," he says.

The acquisition is Redox's second of 2026. In January the company acquired Trykkluftservice AS, also based in Sunnmøre, further strengthening Redox's presence in the region alongside its existing locations in Nordmøre and Trøndelag.
